Literature Text

Where angels fly,
Who can tell?
But I have seen them,
As they pass by.

Hark! The herald,
Angels sing,
Or, so goes,
The old refrain.

Yet, who wonders,
Why angels sing?
Or of the herald,
That they bring.

The ancient carol,
Of story old,
Speaks of what,
The angels told.

Where they fly,
Now none know,
But their songs,
Are forever told.
This poem ended being based off the Christmas carol, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, a little more then I expected. But I'm ready to sing Christmas songs and that one has been stuck in my head. (Which is funny, because I've never cared for that song before, until I discovered that I don't have it among my sheet music. And that really bothers me because picking it out by ear is such a chore:P)

I'm sad to say this, but the first and last stanzas do not fit with the flow of the poem. The first one is an intro, and the last one is just wrapping it up, but other then that, they serve no purpose. Still, I hope you guys like it!

Thanks for reading!!

I really like this poem :) I've read it a couple times just because there's something about how it flows that is intriguing. Of course your subject matter is interesting as well. Great job!
